 Since 2007, Etsy Dallas (an independent local craft collective run by volunteers) has hosted 7 wildly popular and successful independent art shows in support of the handmade movement in Dallas. The Bash features hand-picked artists, designers and crafters selling their top quality handmade goods to the public. Additional fun includes live music, entertainment, food, and a full bar. The Bash is home to the famous and original free Bash Goody Bags. While the Bash is a family-friendly event, the vibe is fun and hip - a show full of handmade love and good times. What makes the Handmade Bash different from other art+craft shows?
The Handmade Bash has a unique business model in that - it isn't a business! We are group of volunteers who organize the Bash for no profit whatsoever. Our goal is threefold: to spread the love of the handmade movement in Dallas, to forge friendships with local crafters and supporters of handmade, and to support each other in our quest to succeed with our own individual handmade businesses.
So what's the difference between Etsy Dallas, Etsy, and the Handmade Bash?

Nope. Etsy, Inc. is not affiliated with Etsy Dallas nor the Handmade Bash. Both Etsy Dallas and the Handmade Bash are located in Dallas TX and function independently (but with the blessing) of Etsy, Inc.

How do I get a booth in the Spring Bash or Jingle Bash?
The Spring Bash applications open up in the beginning of the year and Jingle Bash applications open up in the summer every year. Stay tuned to this web site or join our Artists-Only mailing list for "Call to Artists" notifications.
What can be sold at the Bash?
The Spring Bash and Jingle Bash are an all-handmade shopping events. No resale, no commercial products, no vintage, no supplies. Bash artists can only sell what they make themselves and must staff their own booths - substitutes will not be accepted.
Do you allow non-Etsy Dallas members to sell at the Bash?
Yes! Members get first pick of the booth spaces available at each Bash event. Then the remaining booth spaces are opened up to all of the handmade community for jury into our show. We have yet to host a Bash where we were unable to welcome non-members to participate.
Can I submit a late application?
No, late applications are not accepted. No exceptions.
Can you put me on a waiting list?
No, the waiting list is reserved for applicants who submitted their applications and paid the application fee by the deadline.
OUR HISTORY
The Handmade Bash began as a small trunk show back in December 2007 featuring nine local artists and crafters. From there it grew to a Valentine's Day show in 2008, the infamous Beer-B-Q trunk show in May 2008, and then to the first Jingle Bash in November of that year at the historic Sons of Hermann Hall. The following year (2009), the first Spring Bash took over South Side on Lamar with non-stop shopper traffic. Since then, the Jingle Bash and Spring Bash have become Dallas' most popular annual handmade shopping events. In 2009 the Bash was even voted Best One-Stop Shop by Dallas Observer readers and staff! We could not be more appreciative of the awesome Dallas shoppers who have supported our shows over the years. Thank you, Dallas!
