Bursting with a colorful, slightly tongue-in-cheek “Homecoming/Prom” theme, last year’s annual Spring Bash offered shoppers the very best in handmade apparel, bags, jewelry, home décor, art and more from nearly 60 hand-picked artists, crafters and designers from Dallas and beyond. Folks, the fun didn't end there:
FREE MAKE+TAKE CRAFTS Etsy Dallas puts a modern, crafty touch on the Homecoming/Prom theme with free DIY crafts. In honor of the beloved Texas tradition, shoppers can make their very own mum (or a garter for the guys). For those not into the mum thing, shoppers can make a simple flower pin or crafty award ribbon. The possibilities are endless.
FREE PHOTO BOOTH + CHARITY Sporting their newly-made mums, garters and award ribbons, shoppers can have their picture taken at the Etsy Dallas photo booth to mark the occasion! Photos available for free download in the days following the Spring Bash or for purchase ($5 for a 4x6 print) with all proceeds benefiting the Sendai Relief Fund (Sendai, Japan is Dallas’ sister city and one of the hardest hit in the recent tsunami and earthquake disaster).
FREE BASH BUCKS™ Our very own Bash Bucks™ contest kicks off on our blog, Twitter and sponsor blog The Hidden List beginning April 18th and ending on the 25th. Contestants can enter as many times as they’d like for a chance to win Bash Bucks - gift certificates that spend like cash at the Bash!
50 FREE BASH BAGS™ A crowd favorite, our coveted canvas Bash Bags™ will be chock full of handmade goods. At past Bash events, shoppers have arrived over three hours early to stand in line for a Bash Bag™. TIME TO PARTY The Spring Bash wouldn’t be complete without a full bar courtesy of Absinthe Bar & Lounge and music by DJ Wild in the Streets. Free admission, family and pet-friendly, wheelchair and stroller accessible, plenty of secure $5 parking (limited free parking). “Shop + Party + Art + Craft” – that’s our motto.
